If you want to use Windows more efficiently, it would be good to know the shortcut keys. So, instead of clicking with the mouse, try using the shortcut keys.

Common Ctrl shortcuts that everyone knows.

  • Ctrl + A: Select all.
  • Ctrl + C: Copy selected area.
  • Ctrl + X: Cut selected area.
  • Ctrl + V: Paste.
  • Ctrl + Z: Restore before execution.
  • Ctrl + Y: Restore after execution.
  • Ctrl + Mouse Wheel: Move the wheel mouse up or down.
  • Ctrl + Page Up: First line of the page.
  • Ctrl + Page Down: Last line of the page.
  • Ctrl + Home: Move to the first character.
  • Ctrl + End: Move to the last character.
  • Ctrl + Right Arrow: Move to the beginning of the next word.

  • F3 key: Find a file or folder.
  • F4 key: Shows the list of addresses in My Computer or Windows Explorer.
